From Water to Wine (FWTW) was founded by Charlene Carr in 2018 with the goal of providing a supportive community for women seeking to authentically grow in their faith and life. The name "From Water to Wine" comes from the first miracle of Jesus in Cana of Galilee (John 2:1-11), and reminds us of the transformations and miracles that can occur in our lives every day.

We aim to create meaningful and uplifting experiences for women who want to connect with others on a similar journey. Our mission is to foster a safe and welcoming environment where women can openly share their stories, deepen their faith, and create lasting relationships with like-minded individuals over a glass of wine.

Our vision is for FWTW to serve as a peaceful retreat for women seeking growth and community outside of the traditional religious setting, where they can be accepted and embraced for who they are, without judgement.

Faith is the foundation of our community, and we believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. However, regardless of your current relationship with God or religious background, we welcome and support all women on their journey of growth and exploration.

In addition to spiritual growth, FWTW is committed to educating and exposing women to the rich wine culture of California and beyond. We acknowledge the disparity of women and people of color in the wine industry and strive to support and highlight BIPOC-owned wine brands and educators to our community.

At FWTW, our focus is on relationship building. We provide opportunities for women to connect with each other, foster personal growth, and strengthen their relationship with Christ. Our aim is to create a supportive community where women can grow and thrive in their faith and in life

In any relationship, being your authentic self allows for stronger bonds to form, and a relationship with God is no different. It’s important to me that women have a space to navigate the hard experiences life throws at us without fear of being judged. It’s important to be surrounded by a community where a glass is raised in celebration of the blessings, miracles and transformations taking place in our lives. There’s more than enough room for us all to shine! Whether you’re a seasoned believer or just starting your journey, I welcome you to join us at From Water to Wine. Here we can come together, enjoy each other’s company, and grow in our understanding of how to apply God’s Word in our daily lives. Let’s strengthen our relationships with each other and with Christ.

Cheers!

Charlene
